Herfstlicht in Sils-Maria

[nl] Het Oberengadin is welbekend bij schilders en fotografen, voor zijn valleien en bergen die baden in een heel uniek licht. De meest bekende schilder is Giovanni Segantini.
Die herfstdag 26 oktober 2014, kwam er een wel heel uitzonderlijk licht, ook voor de bewoners in geen 10-tallen jaren gezien. De hemel kleurde blauw, cyaan, geel, mauve en paars. Betoverend mooi, ongezien en niet weer gezien.

[en] The Upper Engadine is well-known among painters and photographers for its valleys and mountains bathed in a very unique light. The most famous painter being Giovanni Segantini.
On that autumn day, 26 October 2014, an absolutely exceptional light came into view, one that had not been seen by the inhabitants for 10’s of years. The sky turned blue, cyan, yellow, mauve and purple. Enchantingly beautiful, unseen and not seen again.

Structuur in de Stad

Structuur is de manier waarop iets in elkaar zit, waarop elementen van een verzameling samenhangen. Fysiek als bij bakstenen, abstract als in de wiskunde.

Structure is the way something is put together, how elements of a collection are related. Be it physical as in brickwork, or abstract as in mathematics.

Niet Otis Redding “I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay Watching the tide roll away.

Grüne Spielerei

Groen gezocht
en gevonden
in Gent.

Met duidelijke uithangborden wordt de groene weg aangegeven. De UGent koos voor groen in het Universiteitsforum (Ufo). De natuur aan de Coupure doet mee. Huizen worden alsmaar groener. Auto’s ook. Groene verplaatsingen op het water zijn in opkomst. Mensen kiezen om samen te komen in een groen kader. De elektriciteitscentrale van Luminus aan de Ham heeft een groene poort.
